Oregon White Oak #1 - "Blue Eye Oak" 24"x32" (Multiple Options)
Large 24”x32” Oregon White Oak prints on natural fiber papers, with a few combinations of blue, red, and white inks reminiscent of a blue all-seeing eye, or a nebula in space. (See photos and options - including blue/red on tan Korean Hanji paper, blue/red on blue mango paper with leaf inclusions, and blue/light blue on natural mulberry paper).
This slice of Oregon White Oak (Quercus garryana) is one that I picked up in Oregon’s Willamette Valley on my way back from the coast, along with a bunch of maple logs. It had been sitting on a fire wood pile for a couple of years, so fungus had colonized the wood, giving the print some of the blotchy texture breaking up the rings.
