Mt. Hood Douglas Fir #1 - Multiple Color Options - 18"x24"

from $70.00

18”x24” print of this Doug Fir slice in a variety of color and paper combinations (See photos of variants - numbered and in order)

The Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) is ubiquitous in the Western US and is Oregon’s State Tree! It also has nearly perfect rings due to their straight and uniform growth. This piece of Douglas Fir was given to me by a friend down the road from a tree than came down on their property in the foothills of Mount Hood in Oregon. While its rings are very clean and uniform, it has a bit of an oval/egg shape to it, and the way the cracking occurred, some of the prints have a tiny smiley face in the center :)
